Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

In Matthew 14:16-21, we see Jesus feeding five thousand people with just five loaves of bread and two fish. This miraculous act not only satisfied their hunger but also demonstrated His compassion and power to provide abundantly. Similarly, in Matthew 15:29-39, Jesus fed four thousand people, once again emphasizing His care for the multitude, which included women and children. These events remind us that Jesus’s ministry was not only about preaching the Word of God but also about meeting practical needs and healing the sick.
Jesus’s commandment in Matthew 10:42 reinforces the significance of even the smallest acts of kindness: “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Every act of generosity and compassion, whether spiritual or physical, is recognized and rewarded by our Lord.
